Government Documents Collection
A collection of government documents and publications largely pertaining to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Publications include United States Senate and House of Representatives hearings transcripts and bills. Some transcripts contain testimonies told in the first person by Agua Caliente Band members, federal employees, attorneys, and other Palm Springs residents. Includes Indian Service correspondence from the late 1880s. Dated materials span the years 1884-1998.
Guy Tyler Audio Recordings
Surrogate audio recordings of Cahuilla songs and language. Originally recorded on reel-to-reel tapes by ethnographer Guy Tyler between the years 1967-77. Recordings compiled into a series of 15 Compact Discs. Cahuilla language informants include Guadalupe and Rosenda Lugo, Kenneth Nombre, Magdalena Nombre, Alice Lopez, and Salvador Lopez. Transferred to digital format by the Storyscape Project of the Cultural Conservancy.

Historical Treasures of San Bernardino
San Bernardino Public Library's photograph collection includes images of family life, work life, daily activities in the community that would be of historical interest to the people of San Bernardino and surrounding areas. Our photographs cover a period from the late 1878 to 1999. The collection includes family photos from some prominent area families including Hirata family; Holcomb family; Caddell family; Santini family and Valles family.
